Cycling in Yunnan a Region of China |
|
|
Yunnan. One of the best times to visit this region is in April. We flew into Beijing and then took an internal flight to the City of Kumming. As we cycled North West toward the Tibetan border we encountered a diverse agricultural landscape, where broad beans and wheat were threshed by the road traffic, water buffalo plowed the fields and rice paddies were tended. The land was divided into small manageable plots for many different crops. The people were very friendly cheering us along our route with many peels of laughter from the kids as we greeted them. A very rich culture, an unforgettable trip more
